Your neighborhood laundromat and dry cleaner in South Plainfield
Smile Laundromat & Dry Cleaners is a local laundromat, wash and fold, and dry cleaning shop on New Brunswick Ave, with pickup and delivery to 43 towns within about 10 miles.
Why we do this
Laundry is the chore that never ends. There's always another load, another shirt to press, another comforter that won't fit in the machine at home. Smile is here to take that weight off our neighbors, whether that means a clean, bright place to do your own wash or a team that handles the whole thing for you.
Our name says how we want you to feel when you get your clothes back. Clean, folded the right way, pressed where it matters, and on time. That's the standard for every order, from a bag of gym clothes to a wedding gown.
What we believe in
Your time matters
We're open 6 AM to 9 PM every day, and our pickup and delivery service means you never have to make the trip at all.
Prices you can see
Every price is posted on our site, and it's the same price online and at the counter. No guessing.
Care in the details
We sort by color and fabric, check pockets, follow care labels, and press by hand where it counts.
Local, start to finish
Your clothes are cleaned at our South Plainfield store by our team. They don't get shipped off to a plant across the state.
A laundromat and a cleaner in one place
Walk in and you'll find a long row of stainless steel front-load washers, a full wall of dryers, folding tables, and laundry carts. It's bright, it's kept clean, and there's always someone at the counter.
The same counter is where wash and fold and dry cleaning orders come in. Every order picked up from a home in our delivery area comes back here to be cleaned, folded, and pressed by our own team.
More about the laundromatWho we serve
Our customers are our neighbors. Families send us the weekly wash so they can get their weekends back. Students and apartment renters skip the shared laundry room. Commuters send shirts and suits so they're ready for Monday. And plenty of people simply walk in to use our machines on their own schedule.
We also clean the clothes that matter most: wedding dresses, formal gowns, church suits, saris, and embroidered Indian outfits. Each has a clear price, and each gets handled one piece at a time.
If you run a small business, a salon, a gym, or an office and need regular laundry service, see our laundry service for businesses or get in touch. We're happy to talk about what you need.
